Construction is standard for action figure vehicles, with hard wheels that roll reasonably well and strong plastic that will hold up to running into walls.The central feature of the toy is the driver launch system. Pressing down the rear wing causes the front body work to lift and the seat to shoot forward. The driver figure is pushed up by a ramp, and a clever latch makes the springs in the driver's integral backpack straighten his legs so ideally the driver will scoot forward upright on the wheeled platform attached to his feet. I only get this to work one out of ten times, but it can be fun to fiddle with arm positions and slowly roll the car forward during launch to get the figure to stay on its feet instead of pitching forward or falling backward.
